TOM + CARSON // Wedding Preview [Greensboro, NC Wedding Photographer]

My oh my, I am a little speechless as I reflect on Tom + Carson’s wedding day. They signed up for the March gamble of bracing for a potential downpour, cold front, or anything else in March’s unpredictable climate shift.

Let me tell you: It was a slice of heaven on earth.

From her wedding dress sprinkled with just the right splash of green (that she and her incredibly talented mother hand stitched in, mind you!) to the evening haze lighting up the ceremony, to their handwritten vows, to the loved ones surrounding them…it was beautiful. All of it.

It was all open, blue skies, sunshine, and just enough warmth on the skin to enjoy the outdoors. I will share more of Tom + Carson’s story soon (with more from the officially official wedding album!), but for now, I want to invite you in for a glimpse of their beautiful day.

I have known Carson my entire life. We grew up together, hated each other for a period of time as sassy little girls, and then somehow morphed into dear friends + I count her in on my sisterhood tribe. Photographing friends’ weddings is genuinely an honor. It always makes me a smiiiiidge emotional, and Carson’s was nothing short of that for me. She and Tom have such a special bond, and Carson lights up like a little firefly when she is with him. Capturing them from behind the camera was like watching a masterpiece come to life.

Some would wonder with my own story: Is photographing weddings + love not emotionally difficult for you? But honestly, it has been healing and sparked so much joy. When two become one and their story is a reflection of the Father – who forms our broken pieces to become whole again – it gives me hope. It reminds me that love can be pure, love can be Holy, and love stretches far deeper than a mere flutter of the heart.

Tom + Carson: You are the essence of just that. Thank you for asking me to document your magical day. I adore both of you, and I hope this preview gives you alllll the feel good feels. Stay tuned for more of this fairytale wedding soon!
